I purchased a wrecked 2006 fjr Yamaha 1300--I removed engine and put it on a air boat --I don't need all the wiring harness--i would like to condense the wiring down to just what i need to run engine & charging circuit--any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks ken
Honestly the best advise I can give you is pick up a Chiltons or Haynes manual for your Jeep. It will have complete wiring diagrams, troubleshooting, and lots of helpful info on fixing the Jeep. You will thank me later because I guarantee this isn't your last wiring problem in the Jeep.
is there spark? is their fuel? also if it was wrecked chances are that the fuel cut-off switch was triggered. i have not ever worked on one so i don't exactly know where it is but i would check behind the fabric/hard plastic right rear/left rear wheel hosing and see if you can hit the reset switch. another suggestion is go to napa or oreillys and get a repair manual for it it has diagrams and schematics in it and it cost about 20 bucks.....good luck please rate this.....thanks
