Steve when you store a vehicle it is best to use a trickle charger to maintain the battery.
Buckyrain, I believe your problem can be solved by replacing the charging fuse next to the battery. It is not with the other fuses. If you pull the battery out it should be on the left with a plastic cover thing over it. Follow the power line and it will be along that.
You should go to your local auto parts store and puchase a small batter charger. Check your manual, to see if you have a 6 or 12 volt batter. To keep it up over winter you should purchase a small battery tender, also called a trickle charger. It gives the battery a very small amount of current that keeps it fully charged.

I have had a similar problem. I first bought a battery tender, but the battery was too dead to charge. I then bought a battery charger to give it that initial jump. I then attached the tender again, and was able to bring it to full charge.
Here's my problem: The scooter still will not start. I changed the spark plug yesterday, there is enough gas, and I can't see anything else wrong.
When I start the scooter, it chokes for maybe a second, than goes into more of a clicking sound, and makes more of a continued vibrating sound.
Please Help! I'm unfamiliar with scooters and small engines, and I am hoping this isn't anything too serious.
Thanks!
