Hi, I know this might sound strange, but I have seen this happen. Did you hook the battery in reverse? If so, you may have blown the main fuse. Also check to be sure the ground at both the battery and frame/engine connections are tight. A loose ground will cause a no power situation as well. If you have a voltmeter, check to be sure the battery was charged to begin with. Depending on the manufacturer of the battery, some come fully charged, and some you have to add the water/acid mix and charge yourself. These types usually require about 8-24 hours of charge time, depending on the brand. Out of curiosity, other than the obvious, what was the reason for the battery change?

Check for starter motor. Check for starting switch (maybe rusty) Check for the starting circuit (tighten the contacts... but not too tight) Check for the fuse. Specially the main fuse. Starter fuse.

It can be the fuse link from the battery which could have failed and so will not power the igntion circuit. Please use a multimeter to trace the +12 to the fuse box and from the Ignition circuit. Make sure the GROUND connection is good from the battery to the chassis.
If it won't turn on start with absolutely nothing attached but the power and see if that helps. If it does, crack the manual and add things one at a time.
if u unplug your battery for acouple hours it will reset youre ecu/cpu. (everything) does it turn over? or absolutly nothing? if nothing sometimes ur battery loses so many electrolytes it can't retain a charge therefore jumping won't help. new battery first step! local junkyards probably have a good battery for $20. Let me know if this helps.
if car is automatic, try starting in 'N" , locate starter motor and tap it hard wile turning key to start, if cr starts after, needs new starter, look if lights and instruments come on when turning key, try to start car from starter, also key problem

bike is not in gear, right? can't start some in gear (even with clutch pulled in) and kickstand down.
