need to use a meter and test battery and the charger to see which one is at fault --also check that contacts are clean and not damaged --most hardware,home stores carry the line or you can call and ask for a distributor in your area and their is no recall on the unit
Most auto electricians carry HT cable and cut lengths off as required. There are bright mauve super grade cables and resistive plastic cables. If you have a healthy coil, there is not much performance difference in any of them, just the price varies. Make certain the physical size of the cable is the correct size and be guided by the electrician or store salesman's experience. Take a cable with you when you look for new cables and have a good idea how much you need, not forgetting the new plug caps!
More than likely you need a 12 volt model, very few bikes these days have 6 volt systems. I have used a Battery Tender in the past with good results, they do not last forever though.
what did you use to jump it? hopefully not a car or truck, especially if they're running. a regular automotve battery carries way too much amperage compared to a motorcycle battery. they can also fry the ECU (main computer of the bike) by jump starting from a car. either way you shocked your battery and burned the cells inside. don't use it anymore or your taking a change of it exploding on you.
