Gas gas trials starts but splutters and loses power

Was run with no 2stroke by previous owner got it started working fine started bogging down and losing power and not hitting the bands 250cc thanks

Possibly Washed The Rings Running With No Oil Mix. If Compression Is Less Than 80 P.S.I. It Will Not Run. The Mix Should Be 24 To 1.( 3.5 Ounces Of Oil To 1 Gal. Of Fuel). Hope Its Not Too Late .

SOURCE: 2008 gas gas 300 ec has very weak spark wont start

maybe wrong kind of sparkplugs...check which one you have in there, probably the "cold"ones...change them out for the higher temp ones.

SOURCE: My scooter has trouble starting but when it starts

Tweek the tick over screw (idle screw) on the carb.
Any more information just ask me. :)

Ok, so do you know for a fact the tank has gas in it, and is the fuel pump running when you turn the key on ?
Have you checked fuel pressure with a gauge ?

Try removing the gas cap when it starts to lose power.
If this helps, clear the gas cap vent holes.

it might be the fuel pressure regulator, i have a similar problem with my 95 302. but mine just dies but starts right back up. i was told fuel may be evaporating out of the fuel lines, when it doesnt start the first try i pump the gas pedal 2-3 times and it starts right up.
