Tailgate brake lights dont wor

Replace the bulbs in the rear the only lights that would have been on (and hot) when he backed in would be the brake lights and they burned out at the same time it's probably not a bad idea to replace all the rear bulbs. I hope this helps. Take care.

when the trailer is connected the grounding is through the trailer plug

Sometimes the wiring will go bad in the light assembly check all fuses under dash and under hood. sometimes have individual fuses for each tail light. otherwise check wiring.

If fuse #34 in the rear fuse panel is OK, then problem has to be in the tail lamp circuit board at each rear corner, or in the wiring.

I meant to tell you also to check the wires to the newly installed brake light switch to see if the wiring is connected securely. Ity maybe loose in the connector also

1) Look for fuse 32 in underhood fuse panel, I believe this is for trailer lights. 50 & 51 are for R and L trailer brake.
2) The blower resistor pack is defective, this is located behind the glovebox and mounted to the blower body.
3) I have no solution for tailgate problem, suggest visiting Trailvoy.com forum and doing search on XUV tailgate.

I have a 2001 Ford F150, my brake lights dont work. Ive replaced the bulbs, checked the fuses,and the brake switch on side of the brake pedal was replaced. I still dont have any brake lights. My third brake light works fine, along with my running lights,flashers, blinkers.

Which Brake line are we Talking about. The one from the Master Cylinder or one from a Caliper on??????????

the dealer can fix this or any mechanic with a vag com interface, basically its a matter of programing the tailgate lights (both of them) to work as brake lights. the euro speck enables one of the other or both, same goes for the backup light. if you had a module replaced recently this could be the reason for the change, whoever installed it should be able to rectify this for you.
