Kawasaki 840079 Green 19.2 Volt Cordless Drill Just stop working

I'm afraid it's dead! Burned out motor coil.

The motor has jammed and burned out. It is probably not worth trying to repair.
If it is still within the warranty period take it back for replacement under guarantee

if it smells, like a burning then the motor is burnt and needs to be replaced.

Try taking it apart and using a hair drier on a medium heat to dry out the components. even if you just open it up and let it air dry a few days you may be able to save it. in any case you have to open it so that any moisture can get out, and of course unplug it and don't plug it in when opened. i have had luck with this before.

you can totally discharge it to eliminate possible memory . you can buy recells to replace old cells but not always cost effective

Check your clutch setting, (ring behind the chuck). Could be stripped, definitely not worth repairing.

You might try and take it back anyway. There is a date code on the batterys and usually the serial number will tell them when it was manufactured. Short of rebuilding it yourself I would try this. Also take back to where you bought it and sometimes they keep records of the sale. If no get me the model number and brand and I will come up with a list of parts.

Re: Burned trigger switch: call the number on the drill (800.590.3723) and tell them what happened. They will offer to send you a new switch or have you send the drill in for replacement of the switch--although the person I talked with said they would probably just replace the whole drill.
