95 Honda CBR 900 rr will not start.

I have a Honda CBR 900rr 95, it will not start. The bike was idling and just stopped. I had the battery recharged and he bike started up but the next morning I tried starting it and is was sounding rough and would not stay on or start. The motor turns over and a knocking sound comes from the engine. The bike will some times start for a few second but then it will die. The battery is new, the spark plugs are over 2 year old. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, these problems started when I purchased the new battery. The battery was charged over night. I believe that it has been top charged.

Should the voltage be idle during acceleration?

did these problems just start when you installed the new battery?

did you top charge the battery before you installed it?

I SPRAY WASHED MY BIKE TODAY,LIKE ALWAYS BUT WHEN I TRIED TO START IT,I COULDN'T GET IT TO START. THE BATTERY APPEARS TO HAVE PLENTY OF POWER ,I TRIED TO USE JUMPER CABLES ,BUT NO LUCK. I HAD A PUSH AND IT STARTED,GOT HOME PLENTY OF LIGHTS,BUT IT WON'T START. IT'S A NEW STARTER THAT I PUT ON LAST YEAR. MAYBE IF I LET IT SET IT WILL DRY OUT. WHAT DO YOU THINK.

    THANKS

Definatly a good tune up would help, but it also sounds as if you may have a bad stator. I would check the voltage at the battery and see if it goes up and down when accelorating.

Will a honda cbr 900rrt exhaust fit a honda cbr 900rr 1995 bike

if it is the the alternate of the cbr 900rr 1995 bike then replace it but i think , you'd better look for the alternate exhaust if it is cbr 900rrt even though but size matters.

Honda CBR 900rr 95 Will not start

Check fuel pump is working(remove seat and tank)Although your bike has carbs, they are fed by a fuel pump(under seat and tank)
if there is no fuel getting pumped when you are cranking over, replace fuel pump relay(cheapest option)If still no joy your fuel pump is u/s.although hondas have a seperate small vacume type hose running off the back of the pump, any pump off a kawasaki zx7/zx9 will do the job(they are all made by the same firm)

Oil

The specs say 3.1 liters, which converts into about 3.4 quarts... somewhere in that general range, though I tend to put in a little more since I live in Taxes, and it's so hot down here.
