Hi. I brought a chinese bike called a p.o.r apache

Hi. I brought a chinese bike called a p.o.r apache 125 (basically a cb125 on a enduro frame). It has ticket & tax but the last owner compleatly ruined it. He lost the key and tried to horwire it, then burnt out some of the system. I assume somebody helped him ad it started when i brought it. But... It diddnt start when i got it home! I looked under the tank and found the loom taped together with parcel tape. Theres a electric start that didnt work to begin with. I got it for my boy for his 14th next week and just want it to use as a field bike to learn to ride. Can anybody help or advise on getting rid or the loom (as no light work anyway) and geeping the very basic for it to run. It hasnt got a battery nor did it when i brought it. But it still run on the day. All i want to keep on the bike is the kill switch. hete is a pic of my nightmare. mucho respecto Martyn.

SOURCE: 2003 883 sportster wont start

What u are describing is typical of a faulty ignition system, but could also be a fuel problem. I check by removing the aircleaner and rotating the throttle. If u see a nice spray of fuel, thats probably not the problem. Check for a spark at the plugs. I can explain how if you need me to. If you cant see a good spark, U have an electrical problem. I had a crank position sensor go bad on me. Dont do what I did (replaced the battery, ignition, and regulator as part of my diagnosis procedure)

sounds as if you have an issue with the charging system, try using a volt meter to determine if the bike is charging. To do so you will need to access the battery under the seat, with the bike running hook up the volt meter to the battery terminals, at idle you should have around 11volts when reving you should have around 13volts. If not you may have a bad stator or other electrical issues. good luck

SOURCE: 1986 Honda Shadow vt1100 does not start.

Try to jump start the bike, 2nd gear down hill key on and let the clutch out... If it starts you have a starter problem, could be the brushes.. good luck...

How do i get the seat of of 1982 185s enduro i just bought it icant find a pull cable or a lever

NICE BIKE, AS FAR AS I CAN REMEMBER IT IS HELD ON WITH 2 BOLTS, UNDER THE REAR MUDGUARD, ONE ON EACH SIDE, REMOVE THESE BOLTS LIFT UP THE BACK OF THE SEAT AND PULL THE SEAT BACKWARDS AWAY FROM THE BIKE, THE EARLY ONES HAD THE BOLTS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE FRAME, IF YOUR SEAT HAS A PLASTIC BASE I THINK YOU WILL FIND THE BOLTS AS PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED UNDER THE REAR MUDGUARD.

HI, I HAVE A HONDA CB125 TDE SUPERDREAM 87, BIG END LOOSE

I think honda only sells the complete crank as you have been told.
An expert engine machinist may be able to dissasemble the crank rebuild the journals, grind, source oversize\undersize bearings, refit bearings, reassemble and balance, but the time and cost would be more than a crank.
You may chase a second hand one from a bike breaker, personally I would try to find another motor, as if the big end has gone, there will be wear in other areas of the motor, like the cam bearings which also are not replaceable. It must have had an oil problem..

Help please

hi lilwallace;
The federal excise tax of 8% on the round trip ticket is calculated by multiplying 8% times the price of the ticket. Remember 8% is written as .08 when we multiply.
$832 times .08 = $66.56 is the excise tax

$832 times .06 = $49.92 is the sales tax

Now we just add the ticket price plus the excise tax and the sales tax and we get $832 + $66.56 + $49.92 = $948.44

Hope this helps Loringh PS Please leave a rating for me.. Thanks

Winter storage

what to do with fluids? If your brake fluid is in need of changing do so before long-term storage. Similarly hydraulic clutch fluid should be changed before you store your bike; both systems may suffer failure if moisture gets in. Also make sure your coolant is fresh, as deposits can form from old fluid. For service intervals, consult your owner's manual.,,,
