Sounds like your stator is shot. That usually happens when you run it with a dead battery. Stator over works

SOURCE: Ktm 520 2000 Model STARTER PROBLEM

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, determine if there is a clicking sound when the START button is pressed. The click is significant. If there is, this indicates that the starting relay is engaging but for some reason, the starter motor is not cranking. This could either indicate a faulty starter relay (particularly the contacts) or a faulty starter motor (specifically, the carbon brushes). To determine which:

  • with the side covers off, expose the starter relay particularly the 2 large terminals;
  • have somebody start the bike normally using the key and button start switch;
  • determine if indeed the clicking is coming from the starter relay;
  • while the start button is still pressed, jump the 2 big terminals;
  • if the engine cranks, then the internal contacts of the starter relay are corroded or burned;
  • if the engine will not crank, then the starter motor is faulty.
Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: battery keeps loosing charge- kymco cruiser 125, 2005

I had this exact same problem on a hipster 125, it was a faulty regulator module ( mounted under the seat) I also found a short circuit (somewhere) in the wiring loom between the regulator output and the chassis (probably what killed the regulator in the first place!) I cut and replaced the entire wire to save removing most of the loom and after testing reg to ensure it was dead i fitted a new one (about £60) bike charges and runs like a dream now even with fully lights approx 80% of the time. good luck

SOURCE: My suzuki drz 400 seems to drain the battery and

check that all the wire connections are good, start at the 3 stator leads and follow it to the rectifier and to the battery, also if you have a multimeter, rev the bike up to 3000 revs and hook up the multimeter to the battery (positive to positive and neg - neg), this will give you the charging voltage, should be between 13-15 volts dc, if its not, it could be a bad stator, but is more likely to be the regulator rectifier unit

I have a problem with a 2008 Dodge Charger, my battery went bad and I had to jump it off to take it and get a new battery put in but now my new battery won't start my car not even when the new battery...

When you jump started the vehicle, it started as normal and you drove to a shop to have a new battery installed.?? Correct??

1. Who removed the old battery and installed the new one?

2. Did the car start normally immediately after the new battery was fitted? How frequently were you able to drive the car on the new battery before the problem you described appeared?

3. Has anything been done to the vehicle since the new battery was fitted.?

Battery won't hold it's charge when fitted to the bike even though it charges when bike is running?

You have a drain of power somewhere. Check all the earths that you can reach. Do you have a dodgy alarm that may have water in the connections, or a damp ignition switch. Use some WD40 to obtain better contacts.

I purchased lenovo z 570 laptop.clarification of regarding battery i am making 0 battery for every 15 days. (A) BATTERY is fully charged (100% ) , even though iam keeping plug in socket & using...

Not really, the older NiCad batteries get a memory effect if you keep charging from a half charged state, but modern Lithium batteries do not suffer from this problem.
If thelaptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.These rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

I have a 1995 Honda cbr 600 f3 it won't start won't try an start the battery is fine so are the fuses I'm getting nothing no lights not even the ones that show your in neutral. It's really...

ORDER A CLYMER MANUAL FOR YOUR BIKE!!! Everything is easier to inspect with the fairings and accessory covers removed. While you are waiting for the manual, trickle charge your battery. Make sure your charger is a maintainer as well. It charges your battery and keeps it conditioned. Keep in mind, even if it's a new battery, they are not impervious to fault. When you get your manual, two or three days later, the battery should have a full charge as indicated by a green light(normally) on the trickle charger. Now, key your ignition on and get your multimeter. Read for battery voltage on the down side of your ignition switch.Then measure and note the draw from your battery as you hit the start switch. Open your manual and start reading through components like your rectifier, coils, main power fuse (probably a 30A)on your fuse box. Remember, a bad ground within your electrical system will report a failure to allow passable current to the components that need the juice. Look for corrosion or gunk on the contacts of your electrical components. Good luck, let me know how it works out.

KTM DUKE 690, not starting, engine just clicks, is it flat battery or low oil levels

The battery needs to be in top condition to give enough power to turn that single cylinder engine. Charge the battery properly, not just with a battery conditioner like the Opitmate. When it's fully charged everything should be ok. If not, get a new battery and follow the instructions for charging it. If you aren't using the bike for more than a couple of weeks, get a battery conditioner to keep it fully charged.

My alternator won'charge and it and the battery

batteries will show 12 v and still not have enough amps to start the vehicle, clean all the connection points on the battery , and charge it fully, start the vehicle and check again for voltage at the battery posts, you should have a reading of 13.5 to 14.5 volts, if not, yes you have a alternator malfunction,

ALIENWARE DESKTOP LOST ALL POWER

In a laptop, you can lose power in three ways.
1. Dead battery 2. Dead Power cord. 3. Bad motherboard.
ther first two should be rather obvious, as the battery won't work or it won't hold a charge, but if it won't turn on at all, even while plugged in, chances are that you're going to need a new motheboard. This can be expensive in the M--x laptops, unfortunately.
Sorry for the bad news, mate.

Sounds like a faulty regulator. Check the battery voltage and drain on the battery when engine is off.

My ktm duke had a low battery i fitted a new one and the ignition worked fine but now it dose nothing but bike kick starts

Check your stator and voltage regulator for proper output. Sounds like the battery isn't receiving a charge through the system. You can charge the battery with a trickle charger to verify the battery will take a charge outside the bikes charging system.
