I have a 1999 4-wheel drive automatic transmission Kia Sportage. Yesterday i went to get into it and it wouldnt start. I turn the key and it just clicks and nothing happens.
I had a friend give me a jump start and it started up and i made it home. Today, it wont start again. If i turn the key to just turn the battery on, it seems like the car has power and the lights work, but when i turn the key all the way it just clicks and goes completely dead.
Also, the locks on the car keep clicking like they're closing over and over again. Is this a battery issue, or do i need to replace the starter? Please help, thank you!

You may need a starter. My 99 Kia would get me places and would refuse to start. Someone hit the starter with a wrench and it started right up. I had to hit the starter to get my Kia to start until I replaced it.
Hope this helps.
Battery is low on voltage as far as the locks clicking, you could also have a starter issue, try charging the battery first
