Reply to Steve P. It will start and run fine every time except if I go faster than2500rpm.checked so many things and replaced many parts. What could it be? It starts right back up.

Hey Karen.. I do not recall what all has been done,...try this.... While you are sitting still, vehicle in park, see if the engine will rev over 2500 rpm?... try holding the engine at 3000 rpm.. see if it will stay at 3000 rpm.. If it does, try 3500 rpm... see if it will stay at 3500 rpm... try this and let me know what happens.... ??when it stops does it sound like its running out of gas??? remind me what vehicle/make/model. etc we are working on .. please...

Why won't my 2005 CBR 600 RR rev past 3500 rpm?

I have a few questions for you. 1. Have you owned the bike since it was new? 2. Have you been able to rev beyond 3500 rpm prior?

WONT REV ABOVE 3000 RPM

Check the exhaust is not blocked if you hear a hissing sound out back that could be the problem, you can loosen it off at manifold its a good test, possibly a blocked convertor.

Info on below 3500 rpm missfiring . above 3500 rpm ok

I have found inconsistent firing caused by a fouled plug, bad spark plug wire, cracked distributor cap, and sticking valve (At least the most obvious causes of speed-dependent misfiring).

92 wrangler engine will not rev above 3500 rpm under a load

Check your distributor bearing. I had a car that had the same problem. It was the distributor bearing, it didn't allow the distributor to advance.

Just a thought....

200 Pontiac Grand Am over 3500 RPM loss of power

on almost all gm cars after 96 the engines were governed to not free rev over 4000rpm. when in gear and power braking the rpms stay lower cause of the load on engine. when reving above 3500 rpms the computer cuts back the timing and fuel to reduce engine damage if left to free rev. hop that helps.

Wont rev over 3500 rpm and under hard accel. wont shift wont rev over 3500 rpm

You should go buy a Haynes or Chilton manual to figure this out. Costs about $15. There could possibly more than one reason for this happening. Anything posted in response could only be speculation.
