I'm assuming you're talking about the transfer case popping out of 2 high or even 4 high. It could be that the transfer case needs a chain or gears replaced and is slipping on the cogs/gears. In 4 low it takes less pressure/strain to move the vehicle so it doesn't slip. I would put the trans. AND transfer case in neutral, with the FRONT wheels blocked, and NOT running, jack at least one rear wheel off of the ground, and try turning the rear drive shaft back and forth to feel the free play (free play in the transfer case, not the rear end). Excessive free play should tell you that the drive chain/gears are very warn and could be slipping. That would be a start.
slack adjuster too tight, bar jammed into sprocket, clutch slipping, chain brake on in off position, chain binding on sprocket or bar, broke end on crank, sprocket slipping on end of crank, a clogged/pinched bar guide, etc.
have a look inside the carb and clean it out, check spark plug and air filter, try changing the settings on the carb,if thers any modfications e.g a bore or after market air filter make sure the jet is the right size.hope this helps
gear selector may be jammed inside the casing or broken
check that the shifter is tight on the shaft!
check clutch adjustment
try rocking bike back n forth without using clutch while you try ******* the gear lever it may come unstuck
but get it looked at if it frees up!
Could be cam chain, but more possibly would be related to clutch or primary drive chain to gearbox.
If the engine is seized up, it's probably because it is locked in gear.
The clutch is a relatively easy task on the lovely old CB100s, but if the primary chain to gearbox is broken or jammed, I'm afraid it's a motor-out-and-stripdown job.
Hi Buddy,
Wrong category, this is for Video Game Consoles.
If it,s any consolation, i,d suggest that your timings out on the casing, if your getting a missfire.
Try push starting it or towing it, and banging it into second gear with the ignition on. Check that your ignition timing belt or chain has,nt slipped or Broken.
Clean And re-gap the spark plugs.
This should solve your problems. up n Runnin.
