I swithed off the bike and started it after 2 days.Everything was normal as i drove when it started cutting out and stating again on its own.Can it be the solenoid.
I don't completely
understand what you describe. If you are asking does your engine start and stop
because of the (start) solenoid, the answer is no. The start solenoid ONLY
operates when you press the start button. There is a possibility there is a
loose wire on the battery side of your start solenoid ...and that is what I
would be looking for, a loose and/or dirty connection.

There is a side stand switch, it is a micro switch that is activated by the side stand, It is mounted to the center stand under the transmission & could have some trash or road grime stuck on the lever.

Sounds like water in the gas. Bad gas at an old filling station can be the source. More likely is simple condensation in the gas tank. Drain the carbs if not fuel injected and also drain some gas from the tank.

if the clutch burned out it must have been slipping causing lots of heat inside were the starter is, all this extra heat wont do the starter any good at all, if its still under warrantee get it back as its clearly not right,, not at all like bmw?

Bill,
What you are describing sounds like an ignition coil breaking down as soon as it come up to temperature. It could also be as simple as a spark plug and most probably is. I tend to disagree with the suggestion you received about the contact points (if your motorcycle actually has them). Generally points will make a mess out of starting and if they are failing wouldn't wait 20 minutes to let you know. I'm going to say spark plug(s) (change 'em both) then possibly a coil OR the high tension lead is shorting against the block or some part of the frame. Now I can't say names or someone will get upset but a German made motorcycle doesn't generally work to well with spark plugs made in America. Been in the Recreational business for a lot of years and if there is one spark plug that just works it's found in every Honda MC and of course is made in Japan. Hope you picked up on were i was trying to lead you ;-). Cheers have a great day, hum you riding your motorcycle and I'm up to my bum in snow and getting another foot of the stuff :-(
