Yes, with a low voltage battery any power consumption can lead the bike to stop. To see if is that nexy time when you feel that the bike is stopping just turn off the lights. If the battery was the cause the bike should recover and run well. A battery is fully charged in hours of driving. If you have a multimeter check the voltage of the battery with engine off. If you have less than 12,6-12,8 volts your battery is discharged. Also you could check if the alternator is charging good enough. With the engine on check the voltage at battery's terminals. You should have no less than 13 V and no more 14-14,5 V. Make the measurement with lights on and off, and with engine when idle and accelerating.
It sounds as though the seat pan might be coming into contact with the battery and thus causing the seat to heat up and drain the battery all at once. My question would be if the battery was recently replaced and an incorrect sized battery was used. If battery isn't under the seat pan itself, check for wires that might have insulation damage that could cause a short and draining the battery. Also some people have installed heated grips on their bikes, maybe the switch for that isn't off when not in use and causing a drain.
Dead fuel in the float bowls, turn fuel tap off get a piece of thin hose connect to the drain fitting on the float bowl release drain screw on the bottom of the carbs drain each carb, top gas up with good fuel turn tap on and your off.
If when you re charge the battery it comes back full power and starts the bike no problem then it has to be the stator circuit somewhere from stator to the battery to test this you need special meters and bucket loads of experience even mechanics usually pass electrical issues on to someone else!
sorry I would only suggest taking somewhere to diagnose this one unless you a master electrician?
One thing could be worth a shot is when a battery continually gets drained and recharged they generally end up toasted in very short time and your engine will have more cranking compression when all warmed up so will need the best battery power to re start. could be worth changing the battery and testing this theory - I would highly recommend new battery even if you get the charge issue fixed as you don't get many re charges out of them any way!
Yes there's a battery and chances are its already drained. recharge the battery (or have it recharged) and check for the spark plug as well. I recommend replacing it with a new one. Also drain the carb fuel before starting it to make sure any deposits don' t go straight to combustion.
A quick solution to this is to jump start it on 2nd or 3rd gear. Engage the gear, depress the clutch and run the bike for at least 15 meters until it gains momentum. Release clutch slowly while assisting the throttle. If it fails, try it with the choke on.
You have a voltage drain on your bike while the key is off that is why the tender wont full charge the battery. If you have any electrical accessories such as an alarm try disconnecting them they may be draining your battery while sitting. If no accessories then you have a short somewhere in the harness causing the drain.
If the battery is getting old (4 to 5 years) it may not be able to hold a charge as well as it did. Have it tested, it may need changing. If an alarm is fitted to the bike it will drain the battery as it will use power even in standby mode.
If the bikes charging system is not working there will be no power to the coils, and no spark (once the battery is drained). Try putting a good, fully charged battery in the bike and check the charging system.
There are certainly several things that could cause the symptoms you describe. Based on the information you have provided that is what I would check first.
