That would be a head gasket leak. The motor will run fine there min. change white smoke from exhaust but min. On newer cars the check engine light will engage

The problem is that your oil and anti freeze are mixing not a good thing. Good luck .

I have a 97 Ford F-150 with a 4.6 v8 engine and I see coolant leaking on the passenger side

There are three plugs on each side of the block under the exhaust manifold and two in the rear of the block between the engine and transmission. If the rear freeze plug is leaking, it can be seen by antifreeze leaking out of the bottom of the transmission bell housing.

95' toyota 4 runner, just had intake gasket replaced. That seemed to be the source of the leak on the back of the engine. Drive for 2 days and it is leaking again but not from the same spot. Can't find out...

Hello, there is a coolant transfer pipe under the intake manifold, it connects to the front of the block under the manifold and exits at the rear between the heads where two hoses are attached for the heater and one for the throttle body, one of these may be leaking, in some cases the transfer pipe is rusted and starts to leak filling up the chamber between the heads until it leaks out at the back.

I had to repair a blown head gasket and replace the plenim. i stopped the integral leak into no.6 cylinder and now there is an exterior leak on the passenger side in the rear of the motor but cant locate...

Head gaskets never give a problem on a 3800 engine it's always the upper intake that is the problem. You may check your lower intake gasket where is meets the head. They will leak there too. Check the hoses , plastic elbows, freeze plugs etc. I usually find the leak with a flashlight after the engine is hot , then you will see the steam from the leaking coolant. Get the car on a lift etc.

95 Lumina 3.4 DOHC, 137k. Coolant leaking on drivers side. Can't see where it's coming from. Engine vibrates as if missing. Almost has full power, but I can tell it would have more if it was...

The first thing is to locate the coolant leak, you will need to pressurize the cooling system to locate the leak. these cars are famous for intake leaks, coolant and oil so take a good look at the intake where it meets the head, if theres coolant getting into the cylinder that may be the cause of the misfire. good day.

Leaking anifreeze from the passenger side of the engine

It is more likely a leaking intake manifold gasket. This is a common problem, they are made of plastic.

Antifreeze leaking out of right side of engine but only when heater is turned on. doesnt leak otherwise, what could this be

Have a look for a heater control valve that may be leaking in area near firewall on passenger side, just follow your heater hoses.

Leaking antifreeze fluid from under the engine.

might be a freeze plug leaking, or heater hose. there are three freeze plugs on each side of engine and two in back of engine. most likely if any of them are leaking, it will be the one behind the starter on the far right rear of engine block. they have also been known to leak around the front and rear of intake, where intake, head, and block meet.

Evil caprice

head gaskets can\will leak between the head and block. I would also check where the intake meets the heads. But normally if its leaking there itll get into the oil.check for puddles where the intake meets the block in all four corners of the intake. At the beginning of the cold weather did you have good coolant in it? you may have a freeze plug partially popped out.that, normally that will be caused by weak coolant but they can pop out by age.A freeze plug is a much easier fix than head or intake gaskets.
keep me posted thx.......
