Ducati 620 doesn't turn over on first turn of the key, however turn ignition off and back on again second time ,everything works fine, have to turn ignition on twice before being able to start the bike ,...

The turn- bank sensor may think you have wrecked or just tipped over the bike. It may need to be replaced. Have you had to lay it down lately? Usually they reset after being turned on again after a lay down. It might not be resetting. Good Luck with that one.

I bought a 1984 kawasaki 550cc ran when test drove. I paid someone with a truck to haul bike shifted a little but never tipped. Now won't start. Any suggestions why.

Due to the age of the bike I'm wager it is a fuel problem. If the gas in the tank is more than a month old it has become stale. If so then dump it and refill (half to three quarters full) with fresh gas. Add a bottle of STP Super Concentrate Fuel Injection cleaner (also good for carbs) OR Berryman's Chemtool in the tank and crank it over a good bit (though never use an electric starter for more than 10 seconds at a stretch, you must let it cool a bit at least 15 seconds before trying again). You want the mixture to get into carb (if so equipped) or the fuel system and allow it to sit overnight or one whole day.

Also if the bike was allowed to lay on it's side, oil may have contaminated the spark plug tip and it can't fire. Remove the plug and see if it is clean and dry. Make it so if it isn't. Carb cleaner spray can remove oil from it, allow it to dry and reinstall (don't over-tighten it).

Try starting it up again.

CAN I HAUL MY FRIDGE LAYING DOWN?

Yes. Lay it back side down only, after taping all shelves and loose items inside. It's not a bad idea stand it up several hours before pulgging in if possible to allow any internal oil in the sealed system to return to where it all belongs. (NOTE: often times the manufacturers will have refrigerators or freezers laying down on top of other refrigerators in their delivery trucks.)

Wont start

It is common for these to trip when layed over and the contact inside to stick and not re-set. It is a sliding wieght on a curved metal bar. When it slides too far to either side, it completes a ground circuit and kills your fuel pump. Dirt and crud can hold the slider in that postion even after the bike is stood back up. You might want to have a look at that. It lives under the seat on the right-hand side, I believe.... but don't quote me on that.
