SOURCE: suzuki intruder 1998 rear cylnder spark plug

hi your carbs need rebuilt if you bought the bike with the cobra pipes on it an aftermarket jet kit has already been installed after time the aftermarket needles wear out and or wear out the emulsion tubes. i had the exact problem tried every thing coils, igniter box etc. check out GMAN INDUSTRIES. COM they will solve your problem. or sell you genuine mikuni parts with the correct jets, pilot screws, and needles.

SOURCE: bought 1994 Suzuki Intruder 1400. Had sat for 2

it sits for 2 years so you have to general check and clean everything, first replace the battery, spark plugs oil filter(if any) have your oil change, clean and balance your carburator and air cleaner, remove your gas tank empty it and clean use new gas, if you can spray an WD40 on all wiring socket then start the bike

SOURCE: Suzuki intruder 1500 charging system

You need to buy a volt meter and set it on 10, or 20 v-. Start the bike and see what it says. A good charging system will show 13-14+ volts. If the meter says 11-12 volts or does not change, you have a bad stator, or rect/reg. Take to a shop to have it further tested. Chaz Moto DC

Cylinder 1 and 4 not firing

have you checked for codes. you should have power and ground at the coil plug. note the computer is what grounds the circuit to fire the ignition coil. if you don`t have a ground then it could be a bad coil driver in the computer, which means you will have to have the computer replaced a possibly programed to the car.

My 2000 Suzuki intruder vs800 when giving gas tries to bogs down and skip even when idling has a little pop and only tries to run on the front cylinder like the rear cylinder is miss-firing, already...

Make sure the battery is fully charged and check your charging system to make sure you are putting out 14 volts or so. If yes then check the spark plug wires for defects, then check the spark plug itself if black or wet looking then it may be from a fouled plug or weak spark. If you can switch the coils to see if that has the opposite effect.

The front cylinder runs fine but the rear cylinder pops and backfires, sometimes the rear cylinder will backfire after the engine is turned off, what can i do to fix this.

That could be the spark plugs causing the run on. The rear piston runs hotter because it is heated by the front one, so try a cooler plug.
