Do you mean the brake it self, or the abs? I f it is the brake it will certainly either the caliber or the master cylinder. Loosen the bleeder valve on the caliber and give a little pull on the brake lever, check for fluid at the bleedervalve no fluid =bad master cylinder, fluid means bad caliber. this is assuming you have checked the fluid level. Make sure to check on the master cylinder for proper type of brake fluid, my HD uses dot 5. If you are talking about the abs, the most common issue is the wheel sensor connector being loose or bad, all check the wiring to make sure it is clean and tight.

you might have a faulty sensor also check the wear on your pads and rotors. if that does not work you might have to break down and take it to a shop. SAFETY FIRST

Abs light flashing

More than likely broken wire on front wheel sensor near plug on the cable just under fairing on right side of bike. Follow the cable from axle to find plug. Be warned, break can be on the harness side of this plug/socket combination. Also, you are working on a safety aspect of bike. Be 100% sure of your work.

On start up my Galant VR4 1997 has faulty breaking driving forward, once we go over 60kph the tcl and abs lights will shine and allow us to use the brakes

your abs sensor isn't working. one of or both of the front wheel bearings(hub) is worn. if you want pull out the abs fuse and your brakes will work fine but you wont have abs. eventually you will need to change the front hubs

ABS problem with GMC 2002 Sierra

its a low speed abs activation the problem is in the front sensors they need to be cleaned or replaced they [or one] probably has some corrosion on the sensor --[the 99 chevy tahoes had a limited recall over this issue and the fix was to remove and clean the abs sensor or if to corroded replace ] this problem doesnt set off an abs code or trouble light also sometimes the abs will activate by itself at under 4 mph without even touching brake
