Instructions

1

Fine tune your motorcycle before rejetting your carburetor. If it's still running too lean, you can replace the pilot jet as a first step
2

Remove the bowl at the base of the carburetor by unscrewing the screws holding it in place. Unscrew the pilot jet inside, but be careful not to strip it. The jet size will be on top.

3

Use a screwdriver to remove the main jet from the brass jet needle holder, which is also called the emulsion tube.
4

Put in a pilot jet that is one size larger. Replacing it with a jet two sizes larger will make your mixture too rich.
5

Tune the slow/idle settings before replacing the main jet. Replace the main jet with one size larger. The sizes are in increments of 5.
6

Put the bowl back on, and align the accelerator pump shaft and rubber boot.
7

Reinstall the carburetor on the motorcycle and retune it to finish the rejet procedure.

Replaced fuel lines, vent line is my major problem!

Make and model please.?

Where is the fuel leaking from exactly?
Generally you don't get diagrams od fueling routes. They often go via the most direct route from tank to carb/primer

Need schematic for fuel system 1989 fleetwood bounder

Schematic?
WELL, if it is a gasoline engine (you did not specify), there isn't much to the "fuel system..." only a single line with one or two pumps routing fuel to the fuel pressure regulator, and a single fuel line from the fuel pressure regulator routing bypass fuel back to the tank. Oh... and the fuel rail and injectors, which are all connected to the fuel pressure regulator.
If it is a diesel engine, it is even simpler!
Why would you need a diagram??

Fuel line routing for craftsman chainsaw 358.350370

hello sir, routing fuel line for craftsman, homelite, ryobi, hedge and line trimmers, fuel tank under engine, looking at machine from rear, shall fuel line on left with filter attached goes to bottom port of carb, fuel line from right side coming out of tank with inside tip attached goes to bottom port of primmer bulb, top line on primmer bulb goes to top port of carb, fuel tank under engine, fuel line routing, looking at machine from left side, left fuel line coming out of tank(drain back only) goes to right side small port of primmer bulb, left side larger fuel line from primmer bulb to top port of carb, fuel line coming out of tank (larger line) on the right side with filter attached goes to bottom port of carb, when replacing fuel line it is very important to use the same ID and OD line the homelite takes a special line that is black in color and a bigger size, the bigger line is ID .08-OD140 small line ID3/32 X 3/16.when the lines dissolve small pieces will get in the carb clogging small passages and screen,it is advisable that you clean out carb, and use a new filter.hope this helps, any comments welcome, thank you. if the filter has broken off of the line half way that is where you will run out of fuel, hh

I need a diagram for the fuel lines on 1997 kawasaki vulcan 750. i took the fuel lines loose and i don't know where they go

Hi.

There is no "diagram" showing the whole routing of fuel lines in the bike. You need to use different diagrams in Fuel System section of the service manual. Fuel system section starts at page 15 in service manual, but what you really need starts at page 40. I have posted fuel service manual at the end of comment.

There is one forum where users discussed the routing. One user has colored the diagram from service manual to indicate lines routing. Here the diagram:

ginko_149.jpg

Here the forum, I quote:

"The red and yellow are the fuel lines that go to the petcock. The green one you left unmarked also goes to the petcock. The line with a question mark is a vacuum line that connects to a part in front of the battery along with the larger lines to the cylinders."

Here the service manual in PDF format.

Regards.

Took tank off and didn't mark hose know don't know they go

all main fuel lines should route to the fuel filter first. then to a "fuel pump" system, then up into the fuel rail or t-fitting. if you see a smaller extra hose coming off the tank that is just a purge vent tube overflow line. That should drain into another funnel like collecting device that will route to it so as to not drop onto the hot running engine. Follow the main line from the fuel selector on/off/res... there better only be one line... or that means you"ll have two fuel filter/ pump systems, i wouldn't want straight unfiltered fuel going directly into my carbs. (Plus that would mean your pump and main filter are in the tank) this could be a possibility!! Let me know if im wrong, call the dealer and ask, but this is 1993 technology not 2003 it should be very basic.

I need the fuel line routing or diagram for a Poulan Predator 2150 LE. I have parts list but it does not depict the fuel detail I need.

Jimmy there are no Poulan drawings with fuel system detail worth the ink it takes to print them, but that is all there is.

Routing runs from fuel tank to carburetor, (if equipped) through carburetor to primer bulb (once compressed bulb draws fuel as it returns to normal) , bulb (as it is compressed) returns displaced to fuel tank. HTH

I need info on a Poulan Pro 445 fuel line routing

I'm so confused. This is reported as a Poulan and McCulloch pole saw, which one? Is it a pole saw? That is the only 445 Poulan I can find. It is reported as an electric but has a fuel routing problem.

If it is a Poulan Pro gas pole saw it is here: PP445 Gas Pole Pruner
The fuel system routing is terrible, but it is all there is.
Fuel Routing follows:
Tank to carburetor (hose in tank with filter on free end)
Carburetor to primer (primer draws fuel from the tank through the carb)
Primer to fuel tank (returns any excess fuel to tank when pushed) HTH
