1991 kx 250. clutch is super tight. Nothing inside is broken. checked parts diagram on website to see if im missing a washer or something. everything is there. the cable is old but when i took it off, it is not bound. the plates are sort of worn but that shouldnt make it super tight to pull the lever. nothing inside seems bound when i have the basket off either but as soon as i put the clutch spring bolts in its too tight again. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!
You may have very heavy duty clutch springs making it hard to pull i would reccomend that you buy a stock set of springs for the bike.
Hi!
Help is at Hand (Excuse pun),
This problem described strongly relates to a seizing clutch cable or frayed.
If you remove it try and pull/push the inner with your fingers there should be No resistance, you may get away with a good oiling but I would recommend replacement.
Good Luck!
