I have a 1996 yamaha vmax 600 xt and my chain is loose. I am wondering how much do i tighten it because i dont want to over tighten it.. Is there a serten amount it should be tighten??

With the bike in neutral lift the chain in the middle of it's lower run...tension is correct when you can only lift it by approx. 30mm

you mean v max 1200? Losen rear wheel, align with a straight bar. Make sure the drive shaft spin freely

Unscrew it from the back of the speedometer and follow it back to where the cable terminates at the hub of the track. Undo it there and replace it with the new one.

check battery is charged if it is check hidden fuses, i had the same problem with the thunderace, i thought it was the battery but it was a hidden fuse
