Brake and tail light globe

check the globes as filament for tail light it could be blown
while the filament for the brake light usually in the same globe
could be ok

check fuse 36 tail light fuse may be under bonnet in relay box
check relay for tail light
is relay switch getting 12v from the cpu device that controls tail light
check on relay pin tabs

Some vehicles have covers inside boot you need to remove to get to globes.others remove complete light which will have two three or for screws

Seems like the wiring was connected wrong on your tail lights or perhaps the wrong globes? Make sure you haven't mixed the tail /stop lamps with the indicator globes.

check park/tail fuse regarding dash ,park ,tail problem .brake light on passenger side is probably the brake globe needs replacing .Turn signals on passenger side could be globes or switch,check globes first ,if globes and fuse are ok ,may well be the switch especially if park switch and turn signals are on the same switch lever/stalk

if rear window stop light works has blown globes in other 2 tail and stop are different circuts fit 2 new globes only go in 1 way

test the brake light switch located at the brake pedal, disconect the switch & bridge the wires, turn ignition on if you have lights its a faulty switch (very common on ford falcons) if not check you have power at that plug, if power check the globes cause you could have blown globes as they are twin filiment globes (1 globe but 2 lights tail & brake) & the brake filiments might be blown.

Check the grounds on your wiring.
If you have a trailer harness, make sure there are no shorts, or crusty connections

On vehicles that use a common bulb for signal and brake lights the brake light circuit runs through the signal switch. A problem in the signal switch can cause the brake lights not to function. Also check your Emergency flasher switch. Hope this helps.
