I have problems with my 2003 KX 125 clutch. When releasing the clutch lever, the bike jumps forward............. in other words, the clutch doens't release slowly and smoothly. I have opened the clutch, all clutch plates are in very good condition. I have tried to adjust the clutch, no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you checked the basket for groves? if it is groved the plates will stick the release all of a sudden.
I havent gotten to pull it apart yet. Thought I would ask around first. When I start the bike, I can hear the random clanking (not the same sound as a piston/engine problem).
I will check the basket for grooved areas. Thanks for the info.
It would be great if that were the case. Thanks for the assist. Appreciate it.

when bike sets for a time the clutch plates stick and clutch wont release. is there a additive i can add to fix this problem
got a 03 xb9r about a week ago. havent got the helmet yet, so i havent even taken it out on my first ride. just started it a few times and cleaned it up. long story short - started it and put it in first... cleaned rims and after shutting it off (still in first) tried to fire it back up. bike jumped forward like the clutch wasnt it (which it was.) tried to get it back into neutral - cant find it. rocked it back and forth - no luck.
bottom line - its stuck in first. messed with it trying to get it out of gear off and on 3 or 4 times. (i dont want to get too ****** off so i take breaks.)
i would think i could get it back into gear by simply pulling up on shifter as i rocked it back and forth, and i cant find first even with the clutch in! watched a video on adjusting the clutch, going to try that. but i would think it would still find neutral even if the clutch isnt adjuststed perfect. anyone had this issue, could it be a simple fix (obviously my hope) or ?
