The only way that 125's are usually restricted is through the exhaust. Theres usually some for of washer or something in there that restricts the exhaust that you can dremel out.

2001 (I think it uses the Vespa ET-4 engine). Are there any other exhausts besides the Aprilia one that would fit without welding etc? Also what gasket do I have to get with it? Any online shops you can recommend for the parts? Just want to take the lot to the dealer and have them fit it - but the official parts are way too pricy. Please help! ,There's a Sito Plus ET4 exhaust that fits the atlantic costs around $170. I purchased mine but haven't put it on yet (I bought it during a winter sale), so I'm not sure about gaskets. From other scooter posts I've read, a lot of ET4 owners replaced their stock pipes w/ it. I bought mine from Scooterworks.com... Anything would look better than the dull black pipe the atlantic comes with,,,

has any work been carried out recently?, maybe a wire is touch the metal frame. the charging system could be over charging, have the voltage regulator & charging system checked so many possiblities ..
