It has drum brakes and has new pads. it worked good for 2 months after new pads, it will release after driving a short distance.
Hi there... There are a couple possibilities for this to happen. the brakes might not be adjusted properly therefore the shoes have to travel further in order to put pressure on the drum. exessive travel can cause binding of the shoes and won't release properly. The shoes my have been installed backwards ( ie front shoe in the back and back shoe in the front) the rear shoe is normally longer and if put in backwards can cause binding. the other possibility is that you may have a sticky wheel cylinder so when you release the brakes the cylinder piston will not retract.
