Look in the fuse box in the engine compartment. Remove the cover and look at the diagram (on the inside of the cover) and it will show the location.

It is under the hood on the driver's side in what Toyota calls Engine Room J/B No.2.

i have a 2001y reg transit tipper and i think the starter motor is going when i go to start it like grinds then some times it starts perfect

The starter is on the right side in the front of the engine at the top. Easily seen from opening the hood
