Hope you drained the oil and also changed the oil filter.
This problem of cutting off is a carburator/fuel related issue.
I guess the fuel might not be pouring in to the float chambers faster enough.
Try this, remove the air -filter and thn start the engine and as it is about to cut off, block the intake(by your palm) at the carburators and see what happens...taking care not to over block it as the gas may pour out and also flood in the combustion chamber rendering it to shut off due to to much fuel.
If it does respond and stay running thn the problems is tht the carbs are not getting the gas as required and probabley you may have to recheck the float level, the float pin,carb synchro, air-fuel mixture.
Check the pet- c o c k too.
