FirstĀ  are you sure it's the MAster cylinder, at the handle bars and not the slave cylinder down by the engineĀ  that is causing your problem?

Your clutch plates have lasted 25 years. It is probably time to get some new plates. Have your dealer get you a set of Barnett clutch plates.

SOURCE: stator removal honda

There is a tool that is used, it looks like a steering wheel puller or flywheel puller. Loosen the nut, a strap tool is handing to hold the stator still while you loosen the nut. Then using the removal tool, you pull this off. reassemble by tighting the nut. You should be able to get a puller at autozone in the loan a tool program. I hope this helps

SOURCE: 2000 honda 1100 shadow spirit. Rough idle, little power.

Replace the spark plug caps and try again. On Honda's the cap is often part of the wire (a dealer part) NGK makes some inexpensive plug caps about $5 each. They should OHM out to 5000 anything above or below and you need to replace them. This should fix the problem.

Working on a 1987 1100 honda shadow trying to bleed clutch got good pressure at master cyclinder but can't get no pressure at the slave cyclinder bleeder

There are 2 holes at the bottom of the master cylinder, one is really small, clean them with hard thin wire while squeeze the clutch lever.
It is O.K., if you get a bubble when you released the lever.

How to bleed clutch on 1994 Honda Shadow vt1100c

Unscrew the screw on the slave cylinder (it is under the plastic cover on the left back side of the engine), squeeze the clutch lever and the oil should come out at the screw center.
If you want to change the oil, open a master cylinder, suck the old oil out and re fell it with new one and go with procedure as described above.

HONDA VT1100 1987 CLUTCH DRAG

hello
sounds alot like the hydraulic clutch system may need to be bled and possibly the master cylinder cleaned. these clutches usually withstand alot. and considering the age of the bike. if the master cylinder for the clutch has not been gone through recently i would consider focusing efforts on it, and bleeding the system for any air that can cause the clutch not to disengage fully.
