Goodman Air Handler motor will not turn off.

replace squirrel cage one of the vanes on it could be issue.

check fan motor and squirrel cage.

On the Good man you need a 5/16 nut driver take the furnace panels off and the blower is in the bottom area. There are 2 screws up top that connect to the blower housing take those out. Everything else will be loose be careful with the wires they can be tricky to work around. But take your motor out throw it away and install your new blower motor and capacitor. Its a simple job really. If you replace the motor yourself you willl save over $300.00

Turn off power to machine and have a 5/16" or 1/4" nut driver handy take off front door of machine. Take a rubber coated Screw driver and place across the terminals of the Capacitor to discharge any stored electricity. Cut wires for blower Black, Red, white, two browns one with white lines on it probably. Look inside machine and locate where bracket holds squirrel cage to air handler and there you will find either 5/16" or 3/8" screw remove pull bracket out. Then you will need a 1/2" socket and a crescent wrench. Remove screws for motor bracket that is attached to squirrel cage. Also you need to loosen the set screw that attaches blower wheel to motor. Apply wd-40 if needed to remove blower wheel from motor. Then install new motor on the flat part of the shaft comes through wheel attach set screw to motor shaft at that position. Install new cap that goes with motor. place entire housing of motor back into air handler and then follow wires that where previously cut back to either relays, sequencers, or fan timer board located in top section of air handler. Tighten everything up and turn power on and make sure air is coming out of vents. Then your good to go.

is the fan outside too noisy,if so there is no way to change the speed of this fan,the blower motor in the furnace can be adjusted,either by adjusting the centrifugal pulley on the motor shaft or electrically or installing a different squirrel cage fan on the furnace blower

inside the air handle there is a motor and a cage(squirrel). I am assuming this is the problem. The side that has the pilot light, take this cove off first, then the back cover. There is a switch so when you take the back cover off it opens the circuit. You will see a main board and to the left and behind is the motor and squirrel cage. I would kill power and then remove the bolts making sure I make the wires and where they go. Then just take the motor and cage out. You will need a allen wrench to remove cage, then replace motor. Check your wiring and also look inside the air handler for a switch that puts the fan in run.

The best way to really clean the squirrel cage is to remove the entire indoor blower motor housing assembly out of the furnace then remove the squirrel cage from the motor shaft and pressure wash the squirrel cage. Make sure you don't use to much water pressure as you might knock off any balancing weights that may be attached to the one or more of the vanes. Make sure the cage is completely dry before you re-install it back on the motor shaft.

Follow your schematic on the new unit. It will tell you where the wire goes. Some of the "extra" wires are connected to the main board close to where the "used" wires are and they are labled "spare". Find the blower motor on the schematic and trace out where this wire will go.

You have to take blower out by removing the 2 screws that is holding it ,then you loose the motor shaft from wheel by using a Allen key .Once motor shaft is loose you then loosen motor frame from housing and slide motor out .Might have to spray it with wd 40 .
On the housing should be some screws along the side so you loosen those and house ing would open up so you can get wheel out.
To install you reverse the process.
Please note the direction of the old wheel because if install backwards will not work right
