My 1996 Ford Bronco worked fine until the alternator decided to stop working. Got that replaced, along with a new serpentine belt, and battery. Now the problem is with the tail lights and rear turn signals. Both will not work, but the lights all around do. I have working headlights, tail lights, and front turn signals. But no tail lights or rear turn signals. I have checked the bulbs and they look fine, there is a current going to the rear of the vehicle as well. How am I to fix this?
SOURCE: Tail light problems
Probably because it blows immediately because the short is now a dead short. The hot wire is completely against the ground not just rubbing. Has the car been hit in the back at any time? Look underneath and see if any wires are hanging down.around the tail light area. Your looking for a wire that is rubbing against metal . Could be inside the trunk behind the covers .

No. All those lights are on the same fuse and are controlled by the headlamp switch.
Make sure that the fuses were all checked on the fuse panel inside the vehicle under the dash. That is where the fuse for those lights is.
