My Yamaha MT-01 is flashing warning light with Code:.38 as the fault? This has started flashing soon after i changed the engine oil (20W-50) and Oil filter? What could be the probable fault and how it can be overridden or reset? It has only covered 5000 Kilometers. Will someone please help and advise me to solve this problem??? Thanks
SOURCE: Oil in my air filter?
This is normal. The air filter is re usable on a lot of two stroke engines and you wash the filter and oil it lightly to help catch dust.

the oil filter should be inside the round finned cover at the front of the motor/trans. if you have found the drain plug also at the front but underneath, the filter is above it.... oil capacity should be molded into the crankcase next to the oil filler cap

sounds to me that it could be a faulty wire....it may not be grounded right. follow the negative wire from the battery.check it and make sure the insulation is not cut anywhere.check that the wire on top of the starter is good and tight also.

10-40w is my choice...go to autozone for the filters.

I don't have a service manual on your bike BUT if you Google " yamaha yzf 600r " there is a spot 3rd from the top that has a free download if you can open an RAR file.
