I just put a brand new battey in my 95 katana but it still.loses power and dies and wont start

Bike was running fine not even a couple months ago, when battery died. Just replaced it with the battery the bike calls for and still losing power and won't start. Had to adjust the throttle cable months ago to get it to idle and run. Now she's just a pepper weight.

Sounds like your regulator/rectifier has failed. This is a fairly common fault on GS and GSX models, particularly the smaller capacity (below 750cc) models. Did the oil level fall below minimum at any time, because this can cause the generator on some models to overheat, causing a power surge which can burn out the regulator. Get the generator checked and fit a new regulator/rectifier.

SOURCE: Started, died will not stay started unless starter button is held

Check for spark and fuel. The spark should be blueish-white and consistently flashing. If the ark is dull-orange and/or inconsistent then there is a problem. the fuel should flow freely from the pet-****, through the needle and seat, and past the primary and secondary jets. There are other things that can cause this problem, check the intake manifold gasket, spark plug, wire, water in the gas, and so on. well good luck.

93 katana 600 wont start

Take one of the plugs out and hold it against the head while the engine cranks. You should get decent spark. If not, you have an ignition problem. If it gets decent spark, try spraying some starting fluid into the air cleaner box. If the engine starts up and runs for a couple seconds, you have a fuel delivery problem.

Bike wont idle and power constantly dieing and recovering

check to see if you have gas in the oil from a carb leaking down which will cause the idle speed to drop when motor warms up.pick up idle run for awhile then plugs foul.like you said a carby problem.

I have a 93 altima that will crank but will not start...about a couple months ago i went to my work and shut off my car. it was running fine when i shut it off.. when i came back out and started my car...

this year model is notorious for fuel related probs...check the remainder of the fuel system, injectors, and the fuel pressure regulator also verify that the fuel pump is actually running and getting the correct amount of power to the pump itself..... it may not be bad just not getting enough power
