Main 30 amp fuse on Hyosung GV650 Aquila Classic keeps blowing. Started when riding slow at first and turning handlebars left and right around obstacles. First electronic speedo went blank, bike stalled but electronics came back on instantly. Started no dramas but same thing happened again. Stopped bike for a bit and then started up no dramas again. Rode about 5km no dramas and pulled into a driveway where fuse must have blown completely. Changed fuse and started again no dramas. Got home and same thing again. Blown completely. Could the turning of the handlebars have pinched a wire? Help would be appreciated!

HI,
Need to trace/follow the wires down the frame from the gauges. Sounds like a short/pinched wire.

SOURCE: Can a bad voltage regulator cause the main 30 amp fuse to blow?

Usually a bad regulator will only cause problems with charging...
Sounds like you've got a short somewhere in the wiring...I'd start by checking the ignition switch wiring and the connections going into the fuse box.

No Display Lights on Hyosung GV650

i know this may seem drastic
but in my experience i have found that the Chinese electric connectors are normally at fault
first thing i would do is chop the connection block out and either put your own bullet connectors in
or solder the wires together
either way it is the connector at fault and needs replacing

I have a 2010 hyosung GV650 Aquila, battery wont hold charge, FI light comes on and bike stalls.

sounds like stator and/or voltage regulator has had it. hard to say which one. i would first check that there is sufficient voltage over all 3 phases coming into the regulator and then the regulator post exit voltage.

Oil change 2008 hyosung Aquila gv650 se

First of all let the engine run for at least 15 mins to warm up at the running temperature. Then turn it off and let it set for 10 mins. The reason is when the oil is hot it becomes thinner and 98% of the oil will drain. Now find the lowest part of the engine and there should be a bolt of spanner or socket 17mm or 19mm. Take it out and the oil will drain. let the oil drain for 10 mins and put the bolt back in, Tight it well and pour the oil from the top oil cap.

As soon as i put the bike in gear it stalls with

This problem should be re-tagged gv650.

It's not your clutch, it's the kickstand killswitch. I had the same issue.

If you look down next to your kickstand on the left hand side you'll see a silver switch (looks like a mushroom), follow the cables up to the front end of the chasis near the sump and you'll find a black connector with two wires coming out of it. You can either bypass the connector using a piece of wire or just do what I did and clip the wires, wind them together and crimp them in a connector.

Start your bike and hey presto - problem solved.

Hope this helps.
