I have a Mazzer Super Jolly that the motor will not rotate when the switch is turned to Start. The relay engages, the capacitor is ok, and I removed the upper burr. Lower doser microswitch? Doug.

I have Super Jolly Mazzer grinder. The grinder grinds on it's own when not in use.

Just bought a mazzer super jolly grinder, used it once, the grind was too coarse (#6), adjusted it to a finer grind ((3), and the next time i ran it it stopped grinding, the motor is on, the grinder turns,...

yes, you have to remove the beans inside because there is beans stuck between the burrs. after removing the beans, start doing the finest first before loading the hopper then after putting the beans test the grind as you go courser.

We have a Mazzer Super Jolly grinder and we can not get the dosing lever to move without pulling very hard while holding the machine with the other hand. Please help.

your doser mech is possibly gunked up with old grinds, first off try stripping it and cleaning it out, if that doesnt work you may need a new return spring but i think its far more likely to just need a good clean. this is from the mazzer mini but the doser design is pretty much the same so it should help you with disassembly

I have a Mazzer Luigi and recently the grinds have started to clump up. The problem seems to be getting worse by the day. There haven't been any changes in the grinder and it is only two months old.

Sounds like the coffee oils are clogging machine, remove bean hopper, clear out beans and run a tablespoon of rice through the grinder.

in the center of the star you have one screw and black knob, Release screw, adjust with black knob, than screw it back to prevent moving of knob

Grinder grinds but when I try to dose it won't turn inside to dose.

Doser lever failed. I diassembled the doser housing (three screws in the base) and found the return spring had fractured. I did not have any spring steel (such as a piece of clock spring) so I found it possible to cut a piece out of an old feeler gauge (38 thou) using tinsnips. I cut to the correct length and glued into the plastic housing as originally -just saved myself $100 and more importantly to me, all the pain of getting the grind setting correct on a replacement grinder

Mazzer luigi super jolly

Easiest way to set the grind on the super jolly is to remove the beans, turn towards fine until you can barely move the middle stem in the grind chamber, then turn towards course about 12-14 notches on the grinding adjuster(not numbers but notches between numbers). If you still cannot get a fine grind and it is not a brand new grinder replace burrs.
