This depends on which carb (s) you want to disasemble as they are all diffrent.
I suggest you goto autozones web site at autozone.com and start there as they have most automotive manuals and step by step instructions on almost all parts and disasembly.

ps dont forget to rate the solution. Thanks

Carburator dirty and fouled with old gas

I would dump the old gas and put new gas in and see if it will start then. If not you can remove the carb and if you are careful disassemble it without damaging the gaskets spray it with carb cleaner and reassemble it and put it back on. You can also rebuild the carb if the second option doesn't work. Hope this helps.

Are there instructions to install the carburator rebuild kit for a Mantis 2 cycle engine?

not really as you disassemble your carb lay it out the way it comes apart pay special attention to the gaskets and diaphragms to their position many times the gasket and diaphragms will stick together match new gaskets and diaphragm then reassemble they put several different gaskets in these kits so look carefully

Stihl saw runs but won't idle.

The paper pumps get stiff and do not pump fuel very well. It's the new Ethanol gas that is the Carb Killers. You need a rebuild kit not just disassemble and clean.
You have IDLE ADJUST Low Speed adjust and High speed adjust. Low and High speed adjust have nothing to do with Idle.

I have the homelite yard broom-model# 985285.001.i have the same problem that a lot of people are haveing--will start, then try to "rev the rpm's"engine quits.....i have removed the "muffler...

Hi, your problem my lie with the carburetor. There is what is called a needle valve that is regulated by a spring loaded rocker. This assembly may be out of adjustment causing your motor to starve for fuel when there is higher demand. These items are small and require a steady hand to disassemble and reassemble. Most carb rebuild kits come with the specifications that you require to make this adjustment. Hope this helps!

Mower starts right up but will not keep running. changed the air filter, gas, oil and added carb cleaner with no effect.

Hello! The carb needs to be disassembled, cleaned, reassembled with new gaskets and then adjusted...If this is something you can do on your own rebuild kits are inexpensive...Engine will not idle because throttle plate is not moving freely due to varnish build-up...

How to rebuild a carbeurator for028 sthil chainsaw and adjusting the ga s valve?

disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner.Makesure the small screen is free of debris. (Should be able to see daylightthrough it.)

Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152),to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.

If the carb. parts are more than 4 years old, you may have to replace them.

If you need further assistance on:
1. Fuel line replacement or
2. Carburetor kit replacement

Just let me know.
