Get a can of spray starting fluid from a local parts store or hardware store, then when it won't start spray the fluid into the air intake of the engine, if it starts and dies you have a fuel problem, if it doesn't start then you need to verify that no fault codes are present in the memory of the engine control module.
Testimonial: "did that, and it was exactly as you said. Feul pressure not there. now i need more clues to fix my feul problems: pump working when tested but not when in car. with feul pressure(positive wire to feul pump)car still not starting, due to injectors not opening.......any help..."
did that, and it was exactly as you said. Feul pressure not there, put a positive on feul pump and pressure at injector but injectors not opening when they should or not at all. so now i'll have to check relay, crankshaft sensor and will get too you all........
Keep in mind the fuel pump only runs when the engine is cranking over, it is shut off after one second by the computer via the fuel pump relay ground if the key is just turned to the run position. Check for 12 volts at one side of the injectors, the other is grounded by the computer to activate the pulse cycle of the injector, the hot side is fused in most cars in the underhood fuse box, it can be marked ECM or INJ.
Most common fault is the injector has no 12 volts supply due to a shorted engine harness which blows the fuse for the injector B+ circuit.
Hope this helps
Good day to you all. thanks for all the help:-). it was the feul pump relay. swapped one from another corsa and it started beatifully. Very gratefull to you, Dennis Weid. without your input i wouldn't have found the root cause of my starting problems. For those that do not know where it is situated(relay). it is behind the driver side kick panel at the bottom on the right of the gas(accelarator) pedal, the pinkish relay fitting and the relay itself is black. Thanks a lot Dennis Weid..........
i am in South Africa so my corsa(2006) is a right hand drive 140i model.
Check the fuel pump fuse and relay
