My battery was dead so i replaced it with new one. now wen i try to start it it wont start. wen i use the alarm fob to open and shut the doors the alarm seems to be fine.when i open the doors with the fob the interior lights come on and the red lights on the dash stay off. but wen i put key in the ignitions 2 go and start it a red light comes on at top of dash and the car fails to start.there is plenty of fuel and car turns over well with new battery. i no it is somrthing to do with the key because when i put key in the ignition thats wen the red light appears on top of dash. before i put new battery in i cound have started car with jump leads but i left car for 4 weeks without starting it and battery was stone dead i think key needs reprogramed to let me start it
Yes the key needs to be reprogramed to the car. Unfortunately that will have to be done by the dealer. Make sure that you have plenty of proof that you are the owner. They will reprogram it but you will not take posession of the car until you prove it is yours.
