What parts do I change to tune up my 2008 dodge caliber

For a standard tune-up, the parts needed include an air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. You should also have oil, transmission fluid, coolant, windshield washer fluid, and brake fluid available. A tune-up consists of topping off or replacing fluids, changing spark plugs and spark plug wires, changing the fuel, oil, and air filters, and checking the pressures of the tires. More detailed tune-ups run a diagnostic test on the vehicle to check for any codes that indicate additional issues.

I have a 1994 Chevy 2500 it gets bad gass mileage. It starts good idols good and drives good to. It has a 350 and it automatic transmission.

get a tune up done. spark plugs, wires , air filter. wouldnt hurt to change the differential fluid. if it has 4 wheel drive then get the transfer case oil done as well and front differential and have the whole viechel greased where ever there is a grease fitting, llike driveshafts, front axle joints. any friction won't help at all.

Cranks but will not stay running

Does the Check Engine light come ON when this happens? Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what, if any codes are set, then we can go from there.
There are just too many possible causes for the problem you describe. Example: Sensors like the Mass Air Flow (MAF), Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor, Crank Position Sensor (CKP), Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor, Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor, vacuum leaks, intake air hose leak, Wiring & connectors, clogged intake air filter, bad/contaminated fuel, malfunctioning injectors, poor ignition/spark or spark plugs or wires, Major Engine Mechanical problems, Out of Time, etc. etc. etc.

More fuel consumpion

No codes? Checklist: MAF: Mass Air Flow Sensor, MAP: Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor, Engine Valves/Low cylinder compression, Fuel Injectors, Fuel Pressure, Tire pressure, vacuum leak(s), PCV: Polution Control Valve, Purge Control Solenoid Valve PCSV stuck open/leaking, Intake Air Hose leaking, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, Intake Air Temperature Sensor, etc. etc. etc..
Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register (vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you'll have access to technical information (manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc) about your vehicle.
