sounds like you have trash in your carbs u need to take bottoms off and run a piece of a wire wheel through the jets
SOURCE: 1986 suzuki gs450, starter selanoid clicks,
if the bike start by pushing it , i believe that your battery would be at fault and not your selonoid .
the solonoid can be tested by arching the terminals with a spare battery but make sure the main battery is unplugged .
Also , try to push your bike in gear for a few metres and try to start it after as your starter motor could be sticking .
try this first before going to buy anything and let me know how you go .
Be very careful to disconnect your battery first

Check fuel filter and air filter, then spark plugs, not necessarily in that order.

Ok on a dry day take a spray bottle with water in it and spray different areas on the bike like the plug ends - coils- fuse box- handel bar switches- Any where there is a connection. Even dehind the head light where the wires go in. You are haveing a moisture problem getting in and shorting the egishion system.
