I don't know the size of the bolts but I felt it was a good idea to ensure you are asking about the bolt size and not the spanner or wrench size.
Typical bolt sizes for the retaining bolts of thermostat housings are 6x1 mm, 8x1.25 mm and 5/16" either UNC or UNF.
The wrench or spanner sizes are typically 10 mm, 12 or 13 mm or half inch respectively.
forget the torque wrench and just nip it up with a ring spanner and a two finger pull this will give it about 15lb which is about right ,you cannot do this sort of thing with a torque wrench as the threads can be a bit tight with dried oil or whatever and you must feel the thing correctly like playing with a nice female, think the lock nouts are a 13mm spanner size on this car also if the timing belt breaks then its a valve free engine so no damage will occur ,gas are 12 inlet and 14 th inlet if i remember rightly and allow for wear under the fingers but this engine is so well made i have never seen a worn one as yet
You need to use a special wrench to remove the nut from the center of the hub to pull it off. The Amana part number for that spanner wrench is 306P4
perhaps you could usea socket i am dont remember for sure but belive the size would be 1 13/16" size (that size is only available in 3/4" drive (or 1 inch drive) so ya would needa 3/4" drive ratchet, extension and the socket)
The spanner wrench could be ordered at your local appliance parts store or online at; searspartsdirect.com partselect.com apdepot.com repairclinic.com apwagner.com
You are referring to the drain bolt on the oil pan? You can use a crescent wrench. I have a 92 and I can never remember what size the drain bolt is, so I always go under with my trusty adjustable crescent wrench. Let me know if u need more info.
can we have a picture of fan/pump assembly? if not, just fit the correct size of wrench on the bolts. if you have adjustable wrench that could reach those bolts. use socket wrenches, or close type wrench.
The gearbox is that big, funky-shaped lump of metal attached to your engine. It has shafts coming out of it, going to the wheels. I've never heard of a spanner.
