SOURCE: tail light on HD Dyna Low Rider is still staying on after pulling switch for rear brake pedal. What to do now?

Is it the talilliight or the brake light? If it's the brake light, check the front brake switch inside the right handlebar control. The plunger may not be working properly.

What kind of brake fluid should I put in the 2002low rider. Dot 5?

Harley changed back to DOT 4 but I don't remember what year. Look on the top of the master cylinder cover and it should tell you which to use. If it's not on one of the covers, look on the other one, front or rear brake. I think your's does use DOT 5.

Good Luck

1996 fxdl low rider brake light stays on all the time ?

One of the brake light switches, (front or rear) is most likely stuck or defective. To troubleshoot, locate the rear brake light switch and disconnect one of the wires, (either one). If the brake light goes out, replace that switch, if it doesn't, the problem is most likely at the front brake switch. Wiggle the front brake lever in and out to see if the brake light goes out. If not, it could be the switch or a worn out lever or, brake lever and switch housing are not properly seated together.
