My sym jet sport x has no power whats wrong with it

It starts from the kick but wont from the electric start and hardly has any power in full revs any ideas

With bairly any power it might just be you air and petrol mixture or to much two stroke if it is a 2 stroke either that or whiring problems it is common with sym mine has problems with wiring too !!! :)

If the engine is turning it could be a broken piston, rings or damaged main bearing, gudgeon pin etc.

The clicking is the starter solinoid.Wire around it and see if starter works.If not replace starter.If it turns over solinoid is bad.

i had this exact problem with mine few months ago, it was dirt on the connectors to battery. I had to have the RAC out today as my batt died after it had been rode to work this morning. I think this model has many electrical issues!

Ok I'm not sure What your asking ,are you saying the engine spins over when you press the starter but does not start?or that the starter doesn't turn the engine over ?

SYM ORBIT 125 SCOOTER: it wont start with the electric switch nor the kick start. It makes a loud tapping noise but its not even swinging. . . What could the problem be?

My sym jet 50 euro x top speed and acceleration power has died allot recently, i use3d to be able to hit 40 mph easily and now im lucky to hit 30 in around 2 minutes, which isnt good in heavy traffic. now...
Usually either:
1) Pour redex into spark plug hole. Kick start bike with ignition off and leave for a few mins. Then start up and watch the thick black smokey mess come billowing out of the exhaust and run for it as the nieghbours, parents and everyone and his dog complains about the pollution...
2) More likely, sadly, to need a rebore and new piston....

Sym Jet 50 on X Reg
change the battery. It takes alot more power to turn an engine over than to hond a horn. Your carburetor and gas tank likely need to be cleaned out also if they were not drained before storage
