Brake light does not work

2002 suzuki 1500 (30 k) : brake light does not work at all ,foot and lever neither work , so far I have just changed the bulb ,still not working .
When I recently purchased the bike ,the 2 small highway headlights had a blown fuse that I repaired with a new fuse ,I checked all other fuses in the fuse box and that is where I stopped . Thanks

have a suzuki gsx 650f brought in 2012 model with only 1200 miles on the clock. It's just had it's first service and I have been informed that the brake light is not working I have changed the bulb yet the brake light still does not come on using foot or front handle lever. Can you offer some advice as to what the problem could be. I also noted at the rear under the seat where the rear bike light sits a cable with a white connector on it that is not connected to nothing however the other end of it is no where to be seen so I was wondering if that cable is suppose to be like that. Can you help with this also. Thanks

I had the same problem with my 2002 Suzuki intruder 1500. To fix the problem I adjusted the rear brake light switch, till the break light worked. The break light switch is located by the break pedal piviot. It is connected the smaller spring next to the rear break pedal.

What will make the back running lights not work but the turn signals do and the brake light don't work from the foot pedal but does work from the hand lever on a 2006 1200 sporster

Normally, on most Harleys, the rear turn signals are just that, and not running lights.
If yours DID function as running lights as well as turn signals, then check the bulbs.
If they're incandescent bulbs and not LEDs, they should have 2 elements, and 1 of the elements might be burned out.

As far as the brake light not working from the rear brake pedal, it might be the switch itself, or a wire could have came unplugged.

Brake light stays on

There is a switch on the brake lever and one on the brake pedal. try and work them with WD-40 to loosen dirt and lube them up. If that does not work you may have to change one or the other. It helps to put the rear of the bike up against a wall or something to see if the light goes on and off as you work the hand or foot brake.

Brake lights don't work on 1983 yamaha ventura.

Does the taillight work? If not, it's probably a grounding issue.
Does the brake light not work for both foot and hand brake? If so (and the taillight works) it's probably the wire running to the brake light (might even be an unplugged connector. Check continuity from the far side of that switch to the bulb terminal.

Brake lights not working on 2003 E 350

Have you checked the fuse for the brake lights and have you checked the brake light switch.
The brake light switch is directly above your foot when it is placed on the brake pedal.
