I have lost my key fob for my 2005 1200LT BMW. I don't have the code. I do have a spare key but can't start bike without the fob

My advice, If it's not a bmw garage then look around for another Z4. You would have to get the key programed to that car which will be expensive.

I do not know the exact cost but for peice of mind phone the bmw garage and ask then how much that would cost to fix.

I would look around for another, when spending that sort of money you want everything with the car to be spot on with no missing bits.

replace the key holder in the dash, pry away the trim carfully and un screw the phillips screw to release and plug in the new one, this is very common from wear and tear

BMW has a totally different locking device than most vehicles. If it deemed to be hard to minipulate replace that lock cylinder

Please give exact detail about your bmw bike, what year it is what model it is.-------- In most of the bikes there is idle adjustment screw for fuel /air mixture on carbs.Or on the side of carbs.Is there any screw there to adjust.-------- There are knurled/slotted screws on the bottom and outside of the carbs. There should be a spring between the head of the screw and the carb to keep it in position. For a quick change, turn each one CW maybe 1/8 or 1/4 of a turn each. See what the idle speed ends up being. Turn the screws evenly until you're happy with the speed.----------- Keep updated, with the details, thanks.Helpmech.
