I have 06 ford 06 ford f150 5.4 super cab when i start the engine it makes a ticking or tapping sound and while driveing ?
Ticking sound could be coming from a Coil-on-Plug, or a pcv valve, or (hope it's not) a valve lifter which could be sticking. Sticking lifter noise often disappears when rpm's change, or the noise comes & goes. try changing the motor oil & filter right after adding an Engine-Flush Treatment to the motor oil, running the engine for 10 minutes at idle with treatment added to the oil, then draining the oil & changing filter while oil is still very hot. That last part is very important, so be careful not to burn your hands - be careful. -- The sticking lifter is a likely cause if motor oil has not been changed at frequent intervals in the past (every 3-4K miles) -- dirty oil causes sticking lifters.
SOURCE: How to replace map & dome light bulbs on a 2008 Ford F-150 Super
2008 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Cab (without moon roof or rails): How to replace the map light bulbs. First, you'll need a "trim pad remover." It is a tool with a screwdriver handle and the metal part has a 'smooth' forked tongue (see Snap-on Stock#: A177A for picture). Go to the center counsel and "gingerly" work around he counsel and pull down at the same time. The counsil is held in by six snap in tongs. It should remove pretty easily. once down, you'll see where the bulbs are. Unscrew and replace. Now, just line up the tongs and gently bump or hit the pressure points (where the tongs are) and it should snap into place. It should take no more than five minutes, tops.

SOURCE: Ticking/Tapping when car starts but goes away???
I had what sounds like the exact same problem. It was an exhaust leak from the left (driver's) side exhaust manifold. This engine has a history of the manifold bolts breaking and causing the exhaust leak. The engine is also used on some Dodge vehicles. It sounds like a tick and I almost mistook it for a bad lifter. I took it to the local Jeep dealer who confirmed the exhaust leak. I replaced the left manifold completely and replaced bolts/gaskets on both sides (left/right) and it fixed the problem. Be careful, as the dealer tried to gouge me on the price. You are looking in the ball park of $600 parts/labor. I got parts for $120 and it took the better part of a work day to do the job.
SOURCE: How do you get the overhead console off of a 2003
Removal is pretty easy. I have detailed info on my website www.autoclockrepair.com.
You basically need to remove any retaining screws (located in the storage compartment if you have one). From there you simply pull the console down and unplug the unit. I'd be happy to assist, le tme know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
