1990 honda civic 1.5 will not turnover

I go to try to start my 1990 Honda civic HB and when i go to start it the BRAKE light comes on when i turn the key the engine will not ever turnover and it was just working yesterday.

Howdie is it std or auto do you have lights horn do you hear a clicking noise if so probly your battery is low or bad altenator problem the brake light comes on it means the brakes are applied release them

Hey I had the same code and I have a 2000 honda civic lx. My cousin works at honda and drives a '96 honda civic and he has had that code before on his car as well.

First thing he came up with was that the catalytic converter was cracked. We checked mines, and lo and behold, that's what it was.

Look under your hood, and there should be a catalytic converter with a sensor sticking out of it. It is connected to the exhaust manifold and the sensor sticks out of the heat shield. Around the sensor, look for a crack. If there's a crack, that's your problem.

Most of the handas have a pick up inside the distributor behind the rotor button take off the black cover inside the distributor and two screws hold it on with two wires on it. If that go's bad your car will not start i would start there

if its a standard check the clutch pedal switch if its an auto check the neutral safety switch and check the fuse in the fusebox that says CRANK

Hello James, It sounds to me that the gasoline pick up tube has come off of the electric fuel pump. The tube should reach to the bottom of the tank.
