Nest time it is hot and does not start, check for spark. U could have a thermal issue where the ignition coil gets hot and stops working till it cools down.
U mentioned glow plugs - is this a diesel powered unit? Check for proper oil level in unit? Oil pump? Poor lubrication will cause an engine to expand when hot and not restart till it cools down.
A leaking head gasket, will cause pressure in the cooling fluid on a water cooled motor even when you start. And with an air cooled motor, you can see and feel the bass coming out.
But there are more causes, like a wrong timing wrong saturation of the gas and more. Sometimes it is better to visit a repair shop.
This usually happens when the crank or the cam sensor starts to go bad. The crank sensor will get hot and shut the spark off to the plugs. When it cools it will start up again untill it is completely no good. I would replace the crank sensor.
Are you saying the start motor will run when you press the switch but the motor will not turn over? That is a starter problem ... If the starter motor is turning the motor over but the engine is not firing - have you checked the kill switch?
Otherwise, I believe you have a ignition time and/or carb/choke problem. When was your last professional tune up? If you cant remember, it is time for a professional tune up. Tell the mechanic it will not start using the starter but it will when you push it. BTW, this bike is too big for you to be pushing to get it started. Besides, the girls will not want to ride with you if you have to push it to get it started. Be cool - get it tuned up. Spring is just around the corner where I live. Spend the summer riding - not pushing.
Sounds like a broken fuse - or a bad electrical connection at the fuse. Try removing the fuse and carefully clean any corrosion from it and the mounting hardware. Do the same with the battery connections.
