if you have determined the batt is good leads are tight electrolite (distilled water) level is ok the part to look at is the voltage regulator with the help of the stator and rotor(alternator) it charges the battery if you have no power coming out to charge the battery then the regulator is bad just replace it no authorized service needed just the part hope this helps please give us a rate have supplied 50 soulitions and only recived 8 votes

SOURCE: Bmw R1200cl won't start battery fully maintained

A fully maintained battery does not guarantee a good battery. The fast click is almost always caused by insufficient power. If you've checked the connections, try jumping from another 12v battery. If that gets the crank to turn, have the battery load-tested, or just replace the battery.

A new battery installed by you is still going to be far cheaper than having a mechanic diagnose this, and if a new battery doesn't do it, it's very likely the starter getting old, dragging, and drawing more power than the battery can deliver.

Clicking sound won't start

Clicking sound is the solenoid working, starter won't turn over the engine as the brushes are worn out or not connecting with inside of the starter through a build up of waste carbon dust.

Bmw gs 1200r adventure won't start with a new battery

Does the motor turn over when you hit the start button?

If you just hear a Click, click, click without the motor turning over, then your battery voltage is low and will need to be charged.

If your motor actually swings but doesn't fire up, chances are good that it is the fuel pump regulator that had blown. R1200GS 08 09 K25

Part number 16 14 7 720 776 is what you will need.

Well the good news is the click indicates the switch is working, when you press the switch the 2poles on the solenoide are joined together alowing the current to the starter, bridge the wires at the solenoide this should put power directly to the starter you wont need to press the start switch, if the engine does not turn over check the connections to both the battery and starter motor,
