Bike is using way too much oil, it blows white smoke . thought it was oil ring so I had the dealer mike the barrel & it was good so I put new piston & rings 300 miles ago & that seemed to solved the problem. but over the 300 miles I was consuming oil but not enough to smoke out the pipe, now the bike smoking again & flows plug with a mile.

Its most likely your rings. They get worn and start letting oil into the combustion chamber. They aren't extremely hard to replace.
SOURCE: it was running fine then just started to smoke
I would do a compression test first and determine if there is an adequate seal.. if the smoke blue than that could indicate blow by.. also did it loose power when this happened ??... take a look @ the plug for oil indicating incomplete combustion.

Are you locating the rings on the locating pins?? Have you "gapped" the rings??
When you say locked up I assume you mean seized??
SOURCE: it blows white smoke been sittin for a long time
Not neccesarilly. the rings could just need to be seated properly. If it doesn't have many hours on it after the rebuild, you may just need to run it for a while to seat the rings. Don't push the motor or the rings will break and your screwed at this point. There might be some other seals that are dried out from sitting and these too will need broken in. Run it at variable engine speeds for at least 10-12 hours. This is a 2 stroke isn't it. If so use double oil in the mixture to ensure you are getting proper oil to cylinders. use double oil first 2 tank fulls and then slowly wean it back to regular oil over time, it won't hurt to run the oil a little rich anyway, might save you another rebuild!
Testimonial: "thankyou you very much mate "
SOURCE: i have a rf400r and
White smoke normally = oil. I would remove all the spark plugs one at a time and look at the colour. My guess is that at least one will be oily or there was a load of oil in the exhaust before the overhaul and you will need to burn the exhaust out. Please get back to me with the results.
